Julie Tausend, Instructional Designer

Hello Blogsphere!

Welcome and thank you for reading my Blog. This space will be used to discuss practices in E-Learning and Instructional Design, as well as tidbits of my life.

I am an Instructional Designer, working with Higher Education instructors to better facilitate learning in an online environment.

I share a unique perspective with the instructors I work with at Stevens Institute of Technology (SIT) in Hoboken, NJ because I also don the hat of student. I recently completed my MS in Management from Stevens and will now be pursuing the MBA in Project Management. Experiencing online classes first-hand as a student allows me to better understand the Instructional Design needs of students in E-Learning.

I love E-Learning because it provides a mix of human interaction and technology. Instructional Design must answer fundamental questions regarding the structure of content, and the level and type of Interaction. I will discuss these topics and more in this blog.

Until then!

Julie Tausend
